First, I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve never made the case that voting machines were rigged. I remember Dems doing that following the 2004 election, which set the precedent for questioning the equipment we use in our elections, and I remember numerous news stories in recent years quoting similar Dem concerns leading up to the 2018 and 2020 elections, thus furthering the precedent, but I, personally, have not made that case. I’m also unaware of Trump mentioning rigged voting machines in his recent speech, but I didn’t watch it, so please correct me with a link if I’m wrong.
Second, faith in the 2020 election was subverted by the left, which eroded legal obstacles designed to prevent fraud — i.e., they broke the law — in the lead up to the election (not to mention fighting all efforts to audit or adjudicate it after the fact). Had that not happened, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. It doesn’t matter how many times you ignore that reality — it won’t change the fact that the fault lies entirely with those who broke the law, not those who call attention to the lawbreaking.
